Postal Strike Service Disruption

As we continue to navigate postal service disruptions, residents and businesses may experience delays in receiving or sending mail. The Town of Fort Macleod wants to provide essential updates to help you manage your services during this time.
 
Utilities:
  • Printed utility bills will not be delivered by mail. Bills are available for pickup at the Town Office, located in the G.R. Davis Administration Building, 410 – 20th Street, Fort Macleod, AB, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • For more information email utclerk@fortmacleod.com or call 403-553-4425.
  • Payments are still required by November 10, 2025, even if you do not pick up your bill.
  • Paperless Billing: Sign up for paperless billing to avoid postal delays and save money. Receive your monthly utility statements by email: https://www.fortmacleod.com/live/form-directory/utility-ebilling
Payments:
Other payment methods remain available—including in-person, drop box, e-transfer, and online payments.
 
Accounts Payable Cheques:
EFT is the preferred method of payment. Sign up online at Direct Deposit Authorization for EFT
Cheques issued by the Town will be held at the office for local vendors to pick up.

Planning & Development:
During the postal disruption, public hearing notices and development decision letters may be delayed. Urgent matters may be hand-delivered when possible. Residents are encouraged to check the Town website regularly for updates on public hearings, development permits, and other notifications.
