Now through October 31st, you can support the Chinook Child and Youth Advocacy Centre (CCYAC) by participating in our 50/50 Raffle! The CCYAC, under the governance of the Chinook Sexual Assault Centre, is dedicated to giving children and youth who have experienced abuse or severe neglect a safe space to share their story and receive the support they need throughout the entire disclosure, investigation, and judicial process. Half of the proceeds from the raffle will go to the lucky winner, while the other half will directly support the crucial services that the CCYAC provides. Come out to the Allied Arts and Support our local youth. Enjoy art they've created in the kids Art Exhibit and support local at the Kidz in Biz Mini Market. Kids will be selling handmade and other items and learning about how to be an entrepreneur.

JUNO Award-winning roots artist Maria Dunn is returning to the Empress as part of the 2024/2025 Centre Stage Concert Series on Friday, Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m. She is part of the Maria Dunn Trio, alongside fiddler Shannon Johnson and multi-instrumentalist Jeremiah McDade, both from the JUNO Award-winning band, The McDades. Dunn draws deeply on the folk tradition of storytelling through song. Melding North American roots music with her Scottish-Irish heritage, she sings about the resilience and grace of ordinary people, past and present. On October 26th from 2:00-6:00, the Chinook Sexual Assault Centre will be hosting a Galactic Giving Event in partnership with Galaxy Bowling & Pizza! This incredible afternoon of cosmic blacklight bowling is a great opportunity to dust off your bowling skills and have some fun with family and friends. We are also encouraging teams to enter the event so that they can participate in the "Head-to-head" competition against their rivals. Alongside bowling, the event will feature free snacks/pop and an incredible silent auction! All funds raised will go directly to supporting the programming of the Chinook Child and Youth Advocacy Centre.
