PURSUANT to the Municipal Government Act, Revised Statutes of Alberta 2000, Chapter M-26, Section 258 as amended, the Council of the Town of Fort Macleod in the Province of Alberta hereby gives notice of its intention to consider Bylaw No. 1929 for Manning Avenue 9th Street Engineered Structures Upgrades Borrowing.

THE PURPOSE of proposed Bylaw No.1929 is to subdivide and service industrial and residential lots in these areas with the total cost of the project being $2,942,000.00. To complete the project, it will be necessary for the Municipality to borrow the sum of $2,942,000.00 for a period not to exceed fifteen (15) years, from the Government of Alberta or another financial institution, by the issuance of debentures, of which the full sum of $2,942,000.00 is to be paid by the municipality at large.

AND WHEREAS the municipality must prepare a Bylaw and provide for its consideration at a public hearing.

THEREFORE, TAKE NOTICE THAT a public hearing to contemplate the proposed bylaw will be held in the Town of Fort Macleod Council Chambers at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd day of March 2021.

AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE THAT anyone wishing to make a presentation regarding the proposed bylaw should contact the Chief Administrative Officer no later than 4:00 p.m. on the 16th day of March 2021.  Both written and/or verbal presentations may be given at the public hearing.

A copy of the proposed bylaw may be inspected at the Town of Fort Macleod municipal office during normal business hours.
