THE LAST OF US

May 19th, 2021
Dear Neighbor,

We hope this letter finds you safe and in good health.
“The Last of US” is a new TV show filming in Southern Alberta this summer, and we are planning to film in Fort Macleod for a week in July. Exact dates are still being discussed, and we will update you with details as soon as possible.
In the meantime, we will be in town on May 20th for a small practice run to plan shots and get a feel for the area in preparation for the July shoot.
Our team is planning a walkthrough in town at 2:30pm that day where we will discuss scenes and ideas with our heads of department. At around 6:00pm, we will begin a small rehearsal of a couple of scenes that require more attention.
In order to safely and efficiently plan our shots, we will require full closure of Main Street from 2nd Ave to 3rd Ave, 2nd Ave from the CIBC to 23 St, and the alley running behind the Java shop. To minimize our impact on this area, we will begin the closure at 6:00pm and hope to be out by around 10:00pm
We will have Production Assistants stationed throughout the area to assist any local business owners or residents. They will be wearing bright vests. Please feel free to approach them with any concerns or requests for assistance and we will make safe and help as much as possible.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at 587-899-4732. While we are in your neighborhood, please feel free to speak to our Assistant Location Manager Gautam Dharan at 587-894-4176, who will be present on site at all times.
Information regarding filming in Fort Macleod is available through the Town of Fort Macleod Office at 403-553-4425.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Sincerely,
