Centennial Legacy Project

The Fort Macleod Centennial Legacy project was created to unite and interpret all the historical elements of the Town of Fort Macleod. As the first home of the North West Mounted Police there are numerous historical features and this project will link all of them explaining the story of NWMP, the growth of commerce as a result of the formation of the Town, and the interaction of the NWMP with the First Nations. The evolution of the social character of the Town and the region are closely linked to the arrival of the NWMP.
