Town of Fort Macleod Regulated Rate Tariff

RATE SCHEDULES
Effective July 1, 2006

This rate schedule is for the provision of electricity services in accordance with the Regulated Rate Option Regulation (AR 262/2005).

Applicability

Eligible Customers, as defined in the Regulated Rate Option Regulation within the Town of Fort Macleod Power electric distribution system limits for electricity services.

Terms and Conditions

All services provided under this rate are subject to the Town of Fort Macleod Power Terms and Conditions for Regulated Rate Tariff.  Unless amended by the Town of Fort Macleod, the Regulated Rate Tariff will be applicable from July 1, 2006 to June 30, 2010.  Each customer is bound by, and shall comply with, all provisions of the Distribution Tariff applicable to the customer.

Appendix "C" – Distribution Tariff and Local Access Fee

The Town of Fort Macleod Tariff identifies rate by customer classification.  The Regulated Rate Option (RRO) provider passes through all Distribution Tariff Charges, as applicable to a customer’s rate schedule, on an as-billed basis.  The Distribution Tariff Charges include any applicable Local Access Fees (LAF) set by the Town of Fort Macleod.

Appendix "D" – Transition Rate Energy Price Setting Plan

1. Definitions

Capitalized terms used in this Appendix "D" – Transition Rate Energy Price Setting Plan ("EPSP") that are not otherwise defined herein have the meaning ascribed to those terms in Appendix "D-3" attached hereto.

2. Transition Rate Energy Price Setting Plan

This document sets out the EPSP for the Regulated Rate Tariff ("RRT") required to be provided by the Town of Fort Macleod under the Regulated Rate Option Regulation.

3. Acquisition Process

The electric energy required to supply Eligible Customers under the RRT will be procured in accordance with the Procurement Protocol attached as Appendix "D-1". 

4. RRT Transition Rate Electric Energy Cost and RRT Rates

(a) The electric energy cost component of the Town of Fort Macleod’s RRT Transition Rate EPSP will be determined on the basis of the New RRO Rate Arrangements and Other Procurement Arrangements, using the procedures set out in the Procurement Protocol set out in Appendix "D-1".

(b) The RRT rates for electric energy to be paid to the Town of Fort Macleod by Eligible Customers on Metered Load will be determined in accordance with the Energy Rate Calculation attached to this EPSP as Appendix "D-2".

5. Competitive Procurement Process

EEC will conduct a Competitive Procurement Process as necessary and in accordance with the Regulated Rate Option Regulation to fulfill the EPSP.  EEC will manage communications and financial transactions with Suppliers.
