Distribution Tariffs

Effective: January 1, 2010

Note: The Terms and Conditions for Consumer Service apply to all Town of Fort Macleod customers and provide for other charges.

FTM 100 - Residential Service

Availability: FTM 100 is available to individually metered single family dwelling units that are used for domestic purposes only.

FTM 100

Application: In addition to single family dwellings, FTM 100 is also available to:

  1. An individually metered single dwelling unit with a maximum of 1,000 watts used in connection with small business;
  2. An individually metered single motel rental unit, provided that the owner has contracted with Fort Macleod service to each unit;
  3. An individually metered private dwelling in a commercial travel trailer or mobile home park, provided that Fort Macleod bills the owner of the park if the occupancy is temporary;
  4. Multi-residential buildings which are served through a single meter and which are currently billed on a residential rate;
  5. Senior citizen apartment complexes served through a single meter; or
  6. Travel trailer or mobile home parks served through a single meter where the owner of the park sub-meters each of the occupants of the park and charges the occupants of the park at rates no higher than Fort Macleod's FTM 100.

In cases 4, 5 and 6 (multi-residential), Fort Macleod bills the customer for the kWh consumed and a revised Basic Monthly Charge of $17.11/month for one unit plus $15.13/month for each additional unit whether or not the units are occupied.


FTM 200 - Small General Service

Eligibility: FTM 200 is available to Small General Service customers who normally require less than 75 kW and do not qualify for other specific rates.

Demand means the maximum amount of energy kW or kVA used at a given instance within a billing period.  The kW Demand value (kVA metered demands converted using a factor of 1.1) for the billing period will be the highest of:

  1. The metered peak for the Current Billing Period;
  2. The Demand ratchet;
  3. The minimum Contract Demand;
  4. The Rate Minimum Demand of 2kW

The Demand ratchet is defined as 85% of the highest metered peak established in the last 365 days ending with the end date of the current billing period, less 50 kW.

 

FTM 400 - General Service

Eligibility: FTM 400 is available to General Service customers with a normal billing demand of less than 2,000 kW, who do not qualify for other specific rates.

FTM 400

FTM 500 - Street Lights

Eligibility: FTM-500 is available for standard streetlight and highway lighting fixtures.
