Summer Programs

Welcome back to summer! Our summer youth and community programs are designed for individuals to come and experience this great town of ours and all that it has to offer. Activities will be preventative in nature and are planned with the objectives of developing youth awareness in the areas of leadership, community, heritage, intercultural understanding, literacy, team work, self awareness, risk-taking, individual skill development, volunteerism, safety, environmental issues, and the arts.

Youth will participate in group and individual activities in and around the town of Fort Macleod, focusing on teaching youth the values of community involvement and healthy active lifestyles and relationships.

Kidz Kampz

Kids Kampz are designed for children aged 6-12. We aim to help them learn communication skills as well as leadership and team work while also learning about themselves in a fun environment. We will also join the Reading Program at the library on Tuesdays and Thursdays and bring a bathing suit to go swimming in the afternoons, weather permitting. *Bring a bag lunch

Hours: Monday – Friday 9am -4pm
Location: Scouts Hall, 505 22nd Street

Wild Wild West …come and experience life of a country western style. So dig out your boots and hats for a week of country fun !Yeehaw!

July 12-16  
Fuzzy Furry Friends and Fun …this week is full of animals. So come with us to learn about and see some of our favorite animals!

July 19-23 
Reality TV… We are bringing some of our favorite Reality T.V shows to the    F.C.S.S. with lots of challenges and games.
  
Aug 3-6 
Wild Wacky Water Days… Prepare your self for a week of water! Water fights,   water wars and water games and much much more!

Aug 9-13  
Going Bananas… This week we will go bananas! F.C.S.S will be all over Fort   Macleod with Banana crazy fun!

Aug 16-20 
CSI Macleod … do you love a good mystery? Well then, this week of Kampz is    great for you! F.C.S.S is in need of lots of C.S.I investigator’s.

Action Adventure

These programs are designed to develop leadership, team building and community sprit in youth. While providing a safe environment to learn and grow in. If weather not permitting, these events will be cancelled.

July 2 
Go Karts/Mini-golf kick of the summer with a day of racing, fun and making new friends!  
Ages 13-17.
Cost: $30.00.
Drop-off: 8:30 Pick-up: 4:00 (From F.C.S.S Office)

July 26 
Horseback Riding in Waterton Park Challenge yourself with something new! We will bus to Waterton and enjoy a trail ride and hiking in and around Waterton Lake-
Ages 9 and up.
Cost: $45.00
Drop-off: 8:30am Pick-up: 5:30

July 27 
Paint Ball Practice teamwork, fine motor skills and hand eye coordination. We will have Coulee Runners bring the equipment to the River Bottom for two sessions of paint ball fun one morning and one afternoon. Don’t forget long sleeves and pants.
Ages 9 and up 
Cost: $35.00
Morning Session: Meet at River Bottom at 9am Pick-up at River Bottom at 12pm
Afternoon Session: Meet at River Bottom at 12pm Pick-up at River Bottom at 3pm

July 28 
Archery -join us to learn the basics on using a bow and arrow. Challenge your hand eye coordination and see if you can hit the bulls eye!
Ages 6 and Up.
Cost: Free
Morning Session: Meet at Fish and Game Park at 10 am Pick-up from Fish   and Game at noon.
  
July 29  
Whitewater Rafting Learn cooperation and teamwork while fighting the    rapids at Kimball River!
Ages 9 and up. Cost: $45.00
Drop-off: At 12:30 Pick-up: 6:30pm (From F.C.S.S Office)

Aug 25 
Lethbridge Corn Maze A challenging maze and fun for all ages. Come    with us to enjoy games and a petting zoo too!
Ages 6 and up. Cost: $10.00
Drop-off: 11:30 Pick-up: 4:00pm (From F.C.S.S Office)
